We bridge the gap between school and your career.
Hands on learning is our biggest goal. Each weeks class is structured around a project that you will build yourself and get to take home.
Our volunteers are very knowledgeable and well versed in their field. They are always willing to help with whatever you may need.
We work hard to be sure the information covered at Tech Adventures is both useful and not covered in every day classes.
Tech Adventures can only scratch the surface of all these projcts. We will however give you the tools you need to teach yourself.
Meet the team behind Tech Adventures!
Tech Adventures strives to relate what you learn in your day to day curriculum to every-day engineering situations that you may encounter in the field.
Tech Adventures was created to bridge the gap between what you learn in school and what experience is expected in the workplace. Our Instructors and Volunteers are all very well versed in their majors and have all applied their knowledge in the field through internship programs. Over the past summer, the Tech Adventures Team has been working on a curriculum as well as securing funding and a location for these classes. Every week there will be a different hands-on project focusing on a different field of engineering. Projects range anywhere from web design to 3D printing. A list of projects and dates can be found under the schedule tab.
Tech Adventures was the idea of the 2015 - 2017 IEEE Florida Tech Student Branch President, Briana Cantos. A few workshops were held throughout the Spring semester however the program did not officially enter the planning and execution phases until the Summer of 2017 under the current student branch president, Christopher Wille. With help from Briana and other IEEE members John O'Malley and Gio Torres. The first official Tech Adventures workshop will take place in the first few weeks of the semester. The schedule page will be updated when details are finalized.
Tech Adventures is a very new program that is still under
development. We have many goals set for the 2017 - 2017 school
year. Check back here in the future to see if we accomplish
Here is all of our currently planned workshops for the next semester.
